2010 Highlander Special Edition price tag has been confirmed
The new edition of the Highlander is coming to your Round Lake Toyota store in January 2010. Toyota has released some pricing info and features that will be a part of this SUV.
The special edition Highlander is replacing the current sport grade model. It w-ll have a 270-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine and an automatic transmission that offers 5 speeds. The gas mileage is said to be 18 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway for the 4 x 2 Highlander. The 4 x 4 has 17 mpg for the city and 23 on the open roads. I am looking forward to seeing both models at my Waukegan dealer.
Toyota equipped the SE with many bells and whistles, a lot of them coming standard. If you like to take weekend road trips, you will probably find the trip computer, external temperature display, and compass very handy. These items are not found on most Round Lake used cars I have driven. Also, the cargo tie downs would be very useful if you are transporting bicycles, a kayak, or other outdoor adventure supplies.
The Highlander also comes with many comfort and convenience amenities. A few items making it more comfortable for driver and passengers are the dual zone climate controls, interior air filtration, and front and rear reading lights, to name a few. Convenience wise, the Highlander has cruise control, keyless ignition, overhead console with storage, and a rear view camera. With some of these features, all your friends will want you to drive on the next trip out of state!
What does the SE cost? A 4×2 will start at $32,480 and the 4 x 4 option will start around $33,930. For an SUV with the reputation of the Highlander, I think this sounds pretty affordable. Definitely an auto you should head to your Round Lake Toyota dealer next month to see!
