Inside Look at the 2011 Toyota Highlander

Inside Look at the 2011 Toyota Highlander

The Toyota Highlander is one nice vehicle. It offers plenty of passenger and cargo space and other features that drivers of the crossover family love.  Now, for the 2011 car year, the Highlander and Highlander Hybrid are getting some makeovers.  These tweaks should help make them even more popular choices at Classic Toyota, your Toyota dealership for Round Lake used cars. … Continue Reading

Just another reason the Toyota Sienna could be the right minivan for you

Just another reason the Toyota Sienna could be the right minivan for you

My wife and I are about to have our fourth kid, and the past few years we have gotten by with our four-door sedan.  Meanwhile, I have also been able to keep my little red sports car.  With our new kid on the way and our sedan approaching a hundred thousand miles, we decided it was time to find a vehicle that is more family friendly, and liked the look of the Toyota Sienna.

Since we are in the market for a used minivan, I browsed the Internet to see what I could find in our area. We live in Round Lake, and many of the Round Lake used car dealers in town do not offer a great selection.  On a recent trip up north, we also checked out the used cars in Kenosha, but many of the Toyota dealerships in that area seemed to be priced a lot higher.  I was a little discouraged and did some more research online.  I was surprised to discover that minivans vary greatly in price at a range similar to most luxury vehicles.  The price tags I saw made me worried about our finances and the future of my little red sports car, until I found a great looking Toyota Sienna online at Classic Toyota in Waukegan.

2011 Toyota Avalon Review

2011 Toyota Avalon Review

Ah, the Toyota Avalon.  It’s a solid choice from Toyota and it gets the job done.  According to Toyota’s facts and figures, the average age of someone who drives an Avalon is 64.  That’s not to say that you have to be this age to own one, but the design is catered to a more conservative driver, one who craves a comfortable sedan versus one of the used cars Kenosha drivers may choose.  Let’s take a look at what the 2011 model will get you. … Continue Reading

2010 Toyota 4Runner Review

2010_4runnerI took a drive in a 2010 Toyota 4Runner at the new car dealer in Waukegan, and I have to say, I was excited to see how the fifth-generation 4Runner handled herself.  Knowing how I would treat her (taking her across country from Chicago through Colorado and the Rocky Mountains on a yearly trip to Vegas), I cut her no slack, making short stops and turns.  To my surprise, she handled well, even though those at the dealership looked at me a little oddly when I yelled “look out below” and avoided a giant, imaginative chasm.  Hey, you have to see if she can put up with it. … Continue Reading

Toyota Tundra test drive

2010_toyota_tundra_press_image_007As the last wisps of summer fade into the chilly fall and winter winds, Chicagoland will turn into a frozen tundra over the coming months. Icy, windy driving conditions will soon lure drivers into Kenosha Toyota dealers to test-drive a vehicle with power and finesse, one that can handle the harshest of driving conditions but will remain stalwart in roominess. Well, I was lucky enough to test-drive the brand new Toyota Tundra, a full-size truck that contends well with quality competitors like the Chevy Silverado, Dodge Ram and Ford F-150.

The 2010 Toyota Tundra’s new 4.6-liter V8 is the most significant upgrade to the already high-performance vehicle, replacing its predecessor’s five-speed unit with a six-speed automatic to promote better fuel economy.
