Good for 150,000+ miles

Consumer Report’s recently disclosed its list of automobiles most likely to last a long, long time. In this context, longevity means counting on reliable operation up to and beyond 150,000 miles. The conclusion of the report? Apart from a few expensive luxury outliers squatting in high places, more practical Toyota vehicles fill the spots on the Consumer Reports list. Models on the list include the Lexus LX, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Camry. Gurnee drivers will be happy to know the class-leading fuel economy and safety features of these favorites is complimented by a tough, everlasting demeanor.

Toyota teams up with SmartGridCity Project in Colorado

Rolling in one after another, Toyota’s accumulated an extensive list of awards, titles and recognitions. Their vehicles have been acknowledged as having the best resale value and outstanding safety features, while they also own the top selling hybrid and highest renowned reliability ratings in the automotive world.

They are now the only automaker who is a part of the SmartGridCity project put on by Xcel Energy. Xcel plans to “build out an entire community that combines traditional and cutting-edge technology to modernize our energy grid and provide new, innovative ways to provide you with the best service possible”.

2010 Highlander Special Edition price tag has been confirmed

The new edition of the Highlander is coming to your Round Lake Toyota store  in January 2010.  Toyota has released some pricing info and features that will be a part of this SUV.

The special edition Highlander  is replacing the current sport grade model.  It w-ll have a 270-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine and an automatic transmission that offers 5 speeds.  The gas mileage is said to be 18 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway for the 4 x 2 Highlander.  The 4 x 4 has 17 mpg for the city and 23 on the open roads.  I am looking forward to seeing both models at my Waukegan dealer. … Continue Reading
