2010 Toyota Corolla improves with new standard safety feautures

Forty years ago, the Toyota Corolla showed its face in the United States for the first time, and since, it’s had great success – selling over 30 million globally. However, in recent years, it began to blend in with the other sedans on the road. So this year, Toyota gave its lineup’s staple model a boost, making it even safer and more fuel efficient than its competitors.

Toyota has equipped its new 2010 Corolla models with VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) with TRAC (Traction Control). Toyota over 2 million Hybrids sold

Toyota prevails once again. And again in the hybrid market. In February of this year, Toyota hit its mark of selling 1 million hybrid vehicles, and in early August, a short 6 months later, has reached the 2 million mark in global hybrid sales.

priushybridAlthough Toyota sells 13 hybrid models in about 50 countries, Toyota gives much thanks to the North American car buyers who provided Toyota with more than fifty percent of their first 2 million. North America, being the largest hybrid market, brought in 1.15 million hybrid sales since its first vehicle’s launch in 2000. As someone who has always been passionate about keeping our planet green, as well as being as eco-friendly as possible, I always knew there would be a car that came along that was greener than the Toyota Prius. I just didn’t know it would be the Toyota Prius. Just unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show is the Prius plug-in hybrid.

Plug-in hybrids will go on sale at a your local Prius Waukegan dealer within a few years. That fact seems inevitable now. Chevy’s coming out with the Volt, and Ford has an electric version of the Focus, and now Toyota has officially joined the game with its Plug-in Prius concept car. Toyota could have plug-in hybrids by 2012

As an avid environmentalist, I immediately latched onto the hype surrounding the Toyota Prius when it was released a few years ago. The car was stylish and efficient – a combination that at that time was essentially a non-entity. With new announcements from other major manufacturers across the industry, Toyota is trying to stay at the forefront of the eco-friendly driving movement.

A recent announcement from the Japanese manufacturer claims Toyota will begin mass-producing plug-in hybrid vehicles as early as 2012, producing between 20,000-30,000 cars in the first year. While the company hasn’t announced how many of those will reach the U.S., you can bet many of those cars will be featured on Toyota Kenosha showroom floors.

Unfortunately, there is no sure way to anticipate all the twists and turns life throws at you. Some obstacles are nothing more than a subtle hiccup in your day– so you forgot your credit card on the kitchen counter, no big deal, right?.
