Toyota Yaris Review

July 6, 2009 Toyota Vehicles No Comments

The Toyota Yaris is undoubtedly Toyota’s smallest car. It does not get all of the hype that the Prius does and flies a bit under the radar when it comes to other cars in its class. However, this small car is ready to make a big splash. The new Toyota Yaris may be the smallest of the Toyota lineup, but is packing a big punch when it comes to what it has to offer. And if you’re looking for a new car, Waukegan dealer Classic Toyota is definitely the place to look because of their great offers on this new Toyota.

Though the Yaris may be the tiniest Toyota, its interior is shockingly spacious. When I had the chance to test drive one at my local Waukegan dealership, I was taken aback by the huge amount of storage space. Looking from the outside, one would never guess how roomy the Yaris is, but it has enough room to comfortably fit five adults.yaris-gas

Driving the Yaris was also a total pleasure. It is a very fun ride, with great acceleration, easy handling, and an extremely smooth suspension. It also has really sturdy brakes for a car its size and was a notably quiet ride, with excellent noise insulation at highway speeds.

However, even with its great handling and interior space, the Yaris’ greatest features are its fuel economy and price. For only $12,205 at any Waukegan dealer, the Yaris is an immediate solution to gas mileage blues, especially for anyone considering participating in the Cash for Clunkers program. Imagine getting a $4,500 for your trade-in and applying it to the already low-priced Yaris. And this price comes standard with awesome options such as iPod compatibility, XM radio, Sirius Satellite radio, 18 inch alloy wheels and keyless entry. The Yaris gets great gas mileage. An improvement from its previous models, the new model will get 34 mpg city and 40 mpg highway!

So let’s review. Shockingly large interior, fun and spunky driving, smooth handling and acceleration, great options and features, awesomely inexpensive and mpg ratings that any commuter can be proud of. I’d say Toyota did a pretty great job covering all its bases with the Yaris. The new Yaris, though small, should make a big impact in today’s economy and will likley prove a very popular option under the government’s Cash for Clunkers program.
